A Board-Certified Podiatrist With a Personal Passion for Treatment

Dr. Redkar is a board-certified podiatrist with a special emphasis on foot and ankle pathology. To earn board certification, she had to demonstrate that she possessed elevated levels of both knowledge and skill in podiatry. Throughout her career, she has received further recognition as an outstanding doctor. For example, Los Angeles Magazine named her to its prestigious Top Doctors list in 2021.

Dr. Redkar's passion for podiatry was inspired by personal experiences in her youth. She moved to America from Pune, India, as a four-year-old. She grew up training in classical Indian dance. While this activity allowed her to maintain her Indian roots, it also exposed her to many foot and ankle injuries. Suffering from these issues firsthand gave her a deep understanding of how these problems can impact virtually every area of your life. Dr. Redkar credits her own podiatrist with helping her continue to dance and enjoy life to the fullest. Now, as a practicing podiatrist, she does everything in her power to get her patients back on their feet.

After podiatry school, Dr. Redkar completed a three-year surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY. While she was there, she received extensive training in foot and rearfoot surgery, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine. Next, she completed a rigorous one-year fellowship in sports medicine and ankle reconstruction in Santa Monica, CA.

Dr. Redkar Outside the Office

Outside the office, Dr. Redkar enjoys an active and vibrant recreational life, playing tennis, working out, and hiking with her husband and adorable dog, Wrigley. Her passion for these activities makes her acutely aware of how important it is for her patients to move with comfort and confidence.
